Head-first slides and diving catches, that's only part of the fun that softball provides! Softball, slo-pitch and fast-pitch are all popular in Prince George. Although our season may be shorter due to the northern climate the local leagues are competitive and passionate about the sport. Local leagues consist of men’s fast pitch, women’s fast pitch, youth softball, adult slo-pitch as well as recreational leagues. The youth leagues are committed to growing the sport and offer many training opportunities and competitions for their members and the rest of the province.
Prince George a variety of event hosting opportunities and has first class facilities for what ever the need is. A total of 9 fields at various distances are available, with full amenities close by.
Our hosting experience ranges from national, provincial and regional events and includes; 1995 National Junior Men’s Fast Pitch, 2001 Provincial Boys and Girls Softball championships, 2001 Provincial Junior Men’s Fastball, 2002 Provincial Boys and Girls Softball Championships, 2002 New Zealand National Team vs. Prince George Men’s Fastball, 2002 BC Seniors Games, 2004 All Native Fastball Championships, 2006 Senior Men’s Canadian Fastball Championships, 2007 Senior Women’s Fastball Championships, 2008 BC Seniors Games
