Para Sledge Hockey

Since 1994, sledge hockey has been one of the Paralympics most exciting and entertaining sports.  Fast-paced and physical, sledge hockey is a sport that has quickly gained recognition on the international stage and has an ever growing fan base.

A country obsessed with ice hockey for generations, Canadians have been quick to recognize the skill and excitement of sledge hockey, supporting their National Team at every event, screaming for gold.

Although Prince George is currently without a sledge hockey league, it's numerous ice rinks and arenas are accessible to all members of the public, and will no doubt meet the standards of even the most discerning Paralympic athlete.

From state of the art facilities such as the CN Centre to local community rinks, Prince George can provide athletes and teams with all the ice time they require.  Best of all, ice rinks, restaurants and hotels are all easily accesible; all are no more than 10 minutes from the City centre, meaning athletes spend their time training, not commuting.
