Prince George offers first-class facilities, strong community support and a long history of hosting basketball events and training opportunities in our community. With the recently completed Northern Sport Centre now open, basketball continues to grow in Prince George. The youth basketball league, school district basketball league, Basketball BC training programs, and of course the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves provide many options and opportunities for basketball fans to get out and cheer for their favorite team or to aspire to a higher level of play.
The UNBC Timberwolves basketball program is proud to have produced five All-Canadians and have a hosting experience that includes; 2008 BCCAA Basketball Provincials and the 2009 CCAA Men’s National Basketball Championships. In addition there have been many school district provincials for both boys and girls in Prince George.
