Prince George is home of the Prince George Track and Field Club which was formed in 1973 and continues to provide training opportunities for its 200 plus membership. The club has strong roots in the community and is well known throughout British Columbia and Canada. The club is very proud to have hosted the following events; 1990 BC Summer Games, 1991 BC Junior Development Championships, 1994 Pre-Commonwealth Games, 1998 Legion National Juvenile Championships, 2001 BC Special Olympics, 2002 and 2008 BC Senior Games Track & Field Meet.
The strong local organization and the first class facility and equipment provide opportunities to host first class events and competitions. The facility is centrally located and minutes away from accommodations, food services, medical, and other training facilities.
