Prince George Golf and Curling Club
Curling has a rich history in Prince George, and for many years the home of curling in Prince George has been the storied Prince George Golf and Curling Club. In the 1920's Prince George's first curling club took shape, but it wasn't untill 1973 that the golf and curling clubs amalgamated, forming an organization that continues to provide first class facilities and services to 600 local curling members and those who travel to our City to compete.
The Golf and Curling Club offers 8 sheets of ice with a spacious viewing area, change rooms, storage areas and a dining room/lounge all in one facility. These types of amenities are one of the many reasons that Prince George is a hotspot for curling. Only 10 minutes from downtown, and a mere 2 minutes from the Treasure Cove Casino and Hotel, the Golf and Curling Club is ideally situated to offer the most convenient access to training facilities as well as the other attractions Prince George has to offer.
Host of the 2000 Scott Tournament of Hearts Women's National Championship, the Golf and Curling Club has dealt with curlers of every skill level. From their junior and recreational athletes just picking up the game, to the very best that Canada has to offer. The Golf and Curling Club has the expertise to meet all the needs of elite athletes and surpass them.
One particularly unique feature of our local curling club is its dedication to wheel chair athletes and the paralympics. As one of the very few clubs to offer wheel chair curling, Prince George has set itself apart as an inclusive organization that maintains the very best in facilities and service.
